ABSTRACT
The central totem for hospital stay has been developed in accordance with patients' needs, which were determined through preliminary analysis, interviews and surveys in some hospitals and ALFs (Assisted Living Facilities) throughout Regione Puglia. As for current trends, the totem also aims to meet the requirements deriving from the changes that are taking place in hospitals: at most two patients per room, more room and less furniture, technology present but not invasive, suspended furniture, ever growing demand for connection to electric appliances.
