ABSTRACT
Picture learning is a widely studied problem that deals with the ability of the machine to learn and reproduce a picture. In other words, the machine parameters may become the replica of the picture which may be used to replicate or reproduce the image. The main motivation behind this is its application in image compression. Images being compressed may be mainly divided into three categories. There are color images, grayscale images, and black-and-white images. In this chapter, we only consider black-and-white images.
