ABSTRACT
The progression from macro-to nanosensors has been a very long and interesting evolution (Khanna 2008, 2009). Several nanomaterials, notably metallic nanoparticles (NPs), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and quantum dots (QDs), together with enabling nanotechnologies, duly supported by microtechnologies have been exploited to realize nanosensors.
