ABSTRACT
Scoping can be time consuming. If done right, however, it helps save you and your team a lot of time. This is one reason it is so crucial to do it correctly at the beginning of the project. Scoping is not limited to the initiation phase of a project. The longer a project runs, the more likely the scope will change over time. This does not mean that the scoping phase lasts forever. You and a performing team can conduct a scoping phase within 1 to 4 weeks. This may be ambitious for some projects, but possible.
