ABSTRACT

The focus becomes the interface that people must use to work with the implemented solution and how this interface provides advantages and benefits that enhance business performance. Consider a typical process in any organization, such as opening a bank account, applying for a business loan, or buying property. Individuals who subsequently require verification regarding their role in a relevant business process can then access specialized database to accomplish the required verification. The human factor is an inevitable component in any business process, because, despite automation, the process always requires some level of manual intervention. In any case, functional improvements represent the translation of improvements made in the business process for use in the information system. Benefits to the business may also come directly from changes in the design of business processes, without implying a functional improvement of the information system that supports it.
