ABSTRACT

The building phase of the system is the core work of the information system implementation effort. It will normally consume more resources and time than all other life cycle phases. In the build and test phase, all activities are aimed at developing the hardware and software needed to implement the established specifications and to resolve the problem for which the project was initiated. The test plan should also include provisions regarding the actions to be taken when a unit or system test fails. The functional test ensures that the features and functions of the system will fulfill user needs, and verifies that they have been developed and perform according to design specifications. A plan that presents the strategy for training various types of system users is prepared for the purpose of conveying information about system characteristics, features, and functionality to the potential user population.
