ABSTRACT
To support the development of actual scale involute-foils, a large-scale involute-foil test rig was designed. Design, fabrication, and testing of the largescale involute-foils were carried out at the University of Minnesota, with support from the rest of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Research Award (NRA) team. Gedeon Associates (Athens, Ohio) provided system simulation support, and Cleveland State University provided detailed computational ¨uid dynamics (CFD) support. The results of the large-scale tests are discussed in detail in this chapter.
