ABSTRACT
Cricket is a sport which has been played for over five centuries and is established in almost 100 countries. There are three types of match which are played at an international level: (i) the traditional five day test match where each team has two innings and no limitation in the number of overs which may be delivered, (ii) The one day international (ODI) which is a limited overs match and each team is constrained to fifty overs of deliveries and (iii) the new format “Twenty:20” match where each team is constrained to twenty overs of deliveries and the match is completed within a few hours.
