ABSTRACT
The consequences of human impact on the environment are becoming more prominent. In just the last year, a number of influential reports have been published which have heightened government and public awareness of environmental issues impacting upon the environment and in particular their potential to influence climate change. In Australia these impacts are now being felt in the form of changing rainfall patterns and increasing average temperatures.
