ABSTRACT
When discussing food safety, food safety programs, and food safety standards, the subject of prerequisite programs (PRPs) continues. This chapter is a continuation of the discussions on PRP programs and the requirements as dened by specic food safety standards along with best practices and recommendations for the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective programs. It is again recommended that the organization ensures a strong familiarity with the standard of choice as it relates to the organization.
