ABSTRACT
This chapter covers what we believe to be the most important anatomic points for successful radical prostatectomy by whatever method, retropubic or perineal. Illustrations have been fastidiously created by using of specimens from fresh autopsy material, magnetic resonance images of pelvic floor anatomy before radical prostatectomy, and intraoperative photography. On the basis of anatomy, practical observations related to the conduct of surgery are also described.
