ABSTRACT
Perforation can occur during the preparation of an access cavity, the root canals, post space preparation or rarely as the result of expansion of an inflammatory resorption defect. Using an operating microscope and modern endodontic techniques, many cases that would have previously required a surgical approach or extraction can be treated non-surgically.
