You just heard through the company grapevine that your biggest competitor is about to launch the Web site to end all Web sites. From what you hear, this Web site is not only going to enable the competitor’s customers to order online, but they’ll also be able to check order status and even communicate in real time with sales staff. If this is not bad enough, your competitor will simultaneously be launching an internal Web site that will enable it to buy all of its supplies and parts online and even control and monitor its supply chain.
