ABSTRACT

Finally, it is reasonable to state that many, if not all, of our nation’s economic problems would be solved with a cheap and plentiful supply of energy that is sustainable and environmentally neutral. No coordinated action has been taken in the past 40 years to achieve this state of energy independence. At this point in time, the only way to achieve this position is with the development and implementation of a sound energy policy. This text attempts to address this issue by proposing the basic elements of a policy that will hopefully reshape the nation’s energy and environmental future-one that will positively impact the rest of the world.
