ABSTRACT
Quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and accreditation are concepts that seem to touch on a wide range of functions in our society. QC system and standardization is especially needed in units for assisted reproductive techniques (ART) to assure reproducibility of all methods and that all members of staff are competent to perform their duties. The necessity of a QC system becomes even clearer when considering the possible risks of ART.
