ABSTRACT
Concrete bridges include reinforced concrete bridges, prestressed concrete bridges, and segmental bridges. This chapter presents adiscussion on the design of reinforced concrete slab bridges, reinforced concrete decks, T-beam bridges, and precast, prestressed concrete bridges. Segmental (or segmentally constructed) bridges are not discussed herein. Amultitude of precast, prestressed concrete girder shapes are available in the marketplace. Discussion in this chapter is limited to design of precast, prestressed concrete AASHTO-PCI girder bridges.
