ABSTRACT

Jonathan Peter Cox received his PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction, University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom. He later took on a postdoctorate research position under the Mediterranean Deserti¤cation and Land Use (MEDALUS) Program of the European Community at the University of Murcia, Spain. He was appointed hydrologist for the Automatic Hydrological Information System (SAIH) at the Confederacion Hidrogra¤ca del Segura, Murcia, in 1995, a post that he occupied for 15 years before transferring to the Comisaria of Aguas, Murcia, as head of hydrometry and statistics. In parallel, Jonathan has developed a university lecturing career and since 2001 has been a member of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Catholic University of Murcia, Spain. In 2011, he initiated collaboration with the German hydrometry masters OTT, as a consultant for their Iberian o©ce. Jonathan has recently taken up a position as senior lecturer in hydrology at the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology.
