Emulsification with Membranes and Micro-Engineered Systems Emulsions have been important in almost any field important for mankind: most of our food is based upon an emulsion; many of our products (paint, bitumen, composite plastics) are emulsions, and being able to produce them in all their variations is of the utmost importance.
