Flyingtypesizingpresses-Flyingtypesizingpressesaredesignedtoproduceasqueezingofthe workpiecealongwithitssimultaneousadvancement,whichisusuallyaccomplishedbydevisingasophisticatedmotionofthepresstools.Thisactionreportedlyimprovestheworkpieceedgesurfacequality.In thistypeofsizingpress,thepresstoolcontactzonehasaspecificshapethatisneededtoproducethe desiredcontactpatternbetweenthepresstoolsandtheworkpiece.Thetoolcross-sectionalshapecanbe eitherflatorgrooved.Similartoedgingwithrollingmills,theuseofgroovedpresstoolsinsizingpresses movesthepeakofthebulgeclosertothecenteroftheslabwhichresultsinbetteredgingefficiency.
