ABSTRACT

A university is a community of students and teachers committed to the pursuit of learning, the accumulation of new knowledge, the transmission of new knowledge to succeeding generations, and the development of new knowledge. A university combines teaching, research, and discovery, as well as (in some cases) community service. These principles give rise to a collection of scientists and engineers who can give a university a unique outlook. Hence, good students of the science and engineering disciplines must commit to being lifelong learners.
