ABSTRACT

Starting with the status quo of tourism development of Tianjin, this chapter analyzes the factors restricting the tourism development of this city, as well as the characteristic of tourism resources and market perception of this city by conducting questionnaire investigation into the tourism image of Tianjin. Basing on the above, it discusses the establishment of tourism image of Tianjin, and puts forward the theme words of whole image of tourism and tourism attractive matter image.As one of the four cities directly under the central government, Tianjin is a city possessing abundant historical and cultural heritages of 600 years. Meanwhile, it is an important industrial and commercial harbor city, in which multiple kinds of culture gathered, in north China. But the reputation and attraction of tourism in this city is not proportional to its rich cultural connotation and modern achievement. People’s impression of Tianjin is that it is just a common city guarding Beijing. So the obscurity of tourism image is the bottleneck restricting the development of tourism in Tianjin.
