ABSTRACT
As the Lean practitioner engages in the application of the tools and techniques described in previous chapters, a specific sequence of events needs to occur to make sure the candidate initiative is successful. As with most Lean activities, a practitioner would hope to achieve improvements in safety, cycle time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction by envisioning possibilities, energetically pursuing opportunities, and rapidly implementing process changes. The following sequence of workshop events would ensure that the company engaging in Lean would be successful in its endeavor.
