ABSTRACT

Introduction During the past few decades macrocyclic chemistry has attracted the attention of both inorganic and bioinorganic chemists. e synthesis of macrocyclic complexes has been a fascinating area of research and growing at a very fast pace owing to their resemblance with naturally occurring macrocycles and analytical, industrial, and medical applications [1-3]. In the present paper a new series of macrocyclic complexes of Cr(III), Mn(III), and Fe(III) obtained by template condensation reaction of succinyldihydrazide and glyoxal has been reported. ese complexes were also tested for their in vitro antibacterial activities. Some complexes showed remarkable antibacterial activities.
