ABSTRACT
I. INTRODUCTION Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) has been an important industrial dispersion stabilizer for decades. It is used either as the sole stabilizer or in conjunction with an ionic or nonionic surfactant. Vinyl acetate emulsion homopolymerizations or copo lymerizations with acrylic monomers are stabilized primarily with PVA.
