ABSTRACT
The references and sources for further information are listed by category and are referred to the chapter to which they apply. Evidently, the references often apply to other chapters as well.
When in a chapter of the book reference is made to a particular publication by number, the number applies to the references listed for that category and for that chapter. Hence if for example in Chapter 3, Chilled mirror hygrometers, reference is made to Publication 6, one should look for Reference 6 in the Reference Section III for chilled mirror hygrometers. If in Chapter 3 reference is made to Publication 12 on calibration, this will be specifically indicated by "( 12), Section X, calibration."
