ABSTRACT
It would be tempting under the topic of this chapter to engage in a full dialogue about the effectiveness of the NIMS incident command methodology and its efcacy in a larger incident. Likewise, it would be interesting to parse the differences between incident management, as an organizational construct, versus incident leadership, as a human construct. Both these topics have been somewhat addressed in the literature, but need additional work.
