ABSTRACT

The Project Processes are used to establish, evolve, and execute the project plans; to assess actual achievement and progress against the plans; and to control execution of the project to fulfillment. Project Planning estimates the project budget and schedule against which project progress will be assessed and controlled. Individual Project Processes may be invoked at any time in the life cycle and at any level in the project hierarchy, as required by project plans or unforeseen events. Project Processes include Project Planning, Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, and Information Management. Table 5.1 contains the list of acronyms that pertain to Project Processes.
