ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology deals with particles of nanoscale dimensions and holds the promise to bring incredible revolution in health science and biotechnology. This technology has the potential to create new materials and devices with a wide range of applications. On the other hand, nanotechnology raises many issues concerning human health safety, environmental and other public concerns about social and ethical issues. In recent years, nanotechnology has witnessed major advances and expanded its capabilities in areas such as drug delivery, surgery, and clinical research. Manipulation of materials at the molecular scale will result in the conception of many new functional nanomaterials with unusual but useful features that differ from bulk materials. The most striking features are changes in electrical, mechanical, and magnetic properties, and chemical properties such as solubility, reactivity, and catalytic activity (Schmid, 1992; Daniel and Astruc, 2004). Currently in the nanotechnology eld, the development of efcient and cost-effective methods of nanoparticle synthesis
