ABSTRACT
A review of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) methods for determination of the drugs that inuence beta adrenergic receptor (beta-blockers and beta-agonists) is presented. TLC methods are described for determination in pharmaceuticals and in biological material. Different pretreatment modes, including liquid-liquid extraction, solid-phase extraction, or direct spotting onto TLC plates, are shown. For quantitative methods, sensitivity, linearity, and specicity of the presented methods are compared. The stability data concerning some of the mentioned drugs are also described. Suitable methods for separation of these drugs as well as for separation of their enantiomers are also shown.
