ABSTRACT

Wireless ad hoc networking has achieved significant growth in the current decade. Due to the increased use of the Internet in our daily lives and the success of second-generation cellular systems, mobile wireless data communication have advanced both in terms of technology and usage/penetration. This has attracted the attention of the research communities toward truly ubiquitous computing and communication. As a complement to traditional large-scale communication, the demand for short-range data transactions is increasing fast as most man-machine communication as well as oral communication between human beings occurs at distances of less than 10 meters. This requires the exchange of huge volumes of data between the communicating parties.
