ABSTRACT
Prior to discussing the kinematics of gear pairs and the geometry of tooth anks of noninvolute gears, a brief overview of known designs of noninvolute gearing is provided. The overview begins with a discussion on spur noninvolute gear pairs and is followed by a discussion on helical noninvolute pairs.
