ABSTRACT

In the last decade, there has been a proliferation of connected devices in the home environment. The number of connected devices has led to a sharp increase in energy consumption in the home [1]. A home network is a complex environment that contains several different types of devices: set-top box (STB), home gateway (HGW), PC, laptop, power line communication (PLC) plugs, and so on, with different kinds of connections: WiFi, Ethernet, and PLC.
