Design: A Psychological Approach-was nominated for a Game Developer Magazine Frontline Award in 2006. Isbister serves on the advisory board of the International Game Developers Association Games Education Special Interest Group, and is the vice chair of the Game Studies Special Interest Group of the International Communication Association.
