ABSTRACT

Stress is the primary reaction of plants to mineralization or hydrocarbons in their environment. Stress can be imaged in at least three ways: (1) thermal response of plants, (2) uorescence response, and (3) reected light response. Thermal response is a function of stomatal conductance, that is, leaf temperature is a result of evaporation or transpiration. Leaf temperature at any given time is also related to air temperature, humidity, wind speed, and net radiation (Jones and Schoeld, 2008).
