ABSTRACT

Until this point, we have concerned ourselves with linear behavior of the aerodynamic coef‘cients only. This is very convenient for direct ‘re projectiles and projectiles that ¤y with very little yaw. It had the bene‘t of allowing us to make a black or white decision with regard to projectile stability as well-the projectile was either stable or not. In real systems, several of the coef‘cients are only linear over a small range of angles of attack. This can be either helpful or hurtful to a particular design.
