ABSTRACT
History A 17-year-old male presented to A&E with chest pain and a cough, which had started 2 days previously. He is tachypnoeic and in obvious distress with his chest pain, which is worse on inspiration. He is unaccompanied in the department, and unable to give much history due to his pain, but is asking for pain relief with morphine, having been given this on previous attendances to A&E with similar symptoms.
