ABSTRACT
The plant production of hot asphalts consists of hot mixing aggregates with bitumen in special plants, in order for the produced asphalt to be homogeneous and in accordance with the target mix composition. Before adding the bitumen, the aggregates are blended at predetermined portions so that the required (target) grading is achieved. Before or after blending the aggregates, they are heated to dry and to raise them to a temperature suitable for bitumen coating.
