ABSTRACT
In the introduction to Chapter 5, we discussed the following situation. Suppose that in the past few years, Mr. Holmes has noticed that frequently earthquakes have caused his burglar alarm to sound. The burglar alarm concerns his home but it is wired sound in his office, which is some distance from his home. Presently, he is sitting in his office, and the burglar alarm sounds.
