ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will consider fossil fuels, in particular, petroleum, gas, and coal. We will then study the environmental effects of fossil fuels. We shall end the chapter with the introduction of alternative (renewable) energy as the alternative fuels and favored fuels of the future.
