ABSTRACT
An 84-year-old woman has been brought to hospital after collapsing in the street. She describes walking quickly and feeling very dizzy, then waking up a few moments later on the pavement. She has experienced several similar episodes of dizziness over recent weeks. Her medical history includes hypertension and exertional angina. She is generally fit and well, and manages to walk a mile every day with her dogs.
