ABSTRACT
A 42-year-old man has presented to his GP with a one-week history of flu-like symptoms including general malaise, fever, headache, muscle aches and joint pains. He notes that his joint pains have moved from one joint to another over the past week. He also complains of multiple rashes on his lower limbs which started as papules and then evolved daily into large erythematous lesions with areas of paleness in the middle of these lesions. He has no medical history and there has been no recent travel history abroad. He works as a gamekeeper on Exmoor.
