ABSTRACT

NORMAL APPEARANCES An example of a normal FDG brain scan is shown on the following pages. Axial slices are shown of the FDG PET images from vertex to cerebellum (a). Representative slices from the PET, CT and fused datasets are also shown in axial (b), coronal (c), and sagittal (d) planes. Note the artifact on the CT images from surface electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes as this was a study performed in a patient for investigation of partial epilepsy who turned out to have a normal scan.
