ABSTRACT
In a discussion of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks and their applications, it is informative to compare this structure to that of a client/server network. With reference to Figure 5.1, the Blue line indicates a client/server connection and the red line represents the P2P connection. The single server serving many clients may become a bottleneck when many clients are simultaneously using the server.
