ABSTRACT
Many standards already exist whose concerns intersect with that of dependability. This chapter surveys and places them in the viewpoint of Open Systems Dependability, and based on that view explains the current strategy for standardization of Open Systems Dependability. Related international standards and issuing organizations are summarized in Appendix A.3.
