ABSTRACT
There are currently two research groups carrying out FE research in France. One group of researchers belongs to the Forensic Science Institute of The French Gendarmerie (IRCGN*) state laboratory. The other belongs to the Institute of Legal Medicine (Lille University).† These two research groups have been carrying out research relating to FE in France for the past two decades.
