ABSTRACT

Poly(amide)s, or polyamides, are polymers containing the amide group –CO-NH-in their repeating unit.1 These polymers are widespread and can be found both in nature, i.e., in proteins, polypeptides, silk, and wool, and in synthetic compounds, including aliphatic polyamides, or nylons, and aromatic polyamides, commonly referred to as aramids.
