A REVIEW OF THE METHODOLOGY FOR THE INTEGRATION OF ERGONOMICS INTO THE SUPERMARKET DESIGN PROCESS

When ergonomics principles are applied to the design process, the user is at the centre of the design process. This involves consideration of the physical and mental (cognitive) characteristics of users that should be applied to the design of an object, component of a system, or environment. Failure to do so may result in the creation of an unsafe and inefficient operation.
