ABSTRACT

In their work, engineers and scientists act on nature and the community in a significant and visible manner. If their behavior does not comply with certain guidelines, it impairs the confidence of the citizen, user, customer, patient, or representative of the profession, institution, or company employing them. As such, the duties and rules of behavior when exercising a profession can be integrated into the Quality Assurance of an institution, company or professional association. They thus integrate the so-called emotional intelligence, transferable competencies or soft skills.
