ABSTRACT
The March 11th, 2011, earthquake-tsunami-nuclear disaster that struck Japan killed thousands, caused enormous property damage and left as many as 300,000 homeless. Japanese governmental authorities and the Japanese general population faced the emergency with remarkable civility, compassion and courage.
