ABSTRACT
The organization of this chapter is as follows. Our definitions of confidentiality, privacy, and trust as well as the current status on administering the Semantic Web will be discussed in Section 21.2. This will be followed by a discussion in Section 21.3 of our proposed framework (mentioned above) for securing the Semantic Web,
CPT. Next we will take each of the features, confidentiality, privacy, and trust, and discuss various aspects as they relate to the Semantic Web in Sections 21.4, 21.5, and 21.6, respectively. An integrated architecture for CPT as well as inference and privacy control is discussed in Section 21.7. Finally the chapter is summarized and future directions are given in Section 21.8. Figure 21.1 illustrates the concepts of this chapter.
